Basic Kuva Lich Tutorial

Part 1 of 3

Acquisition
Kuva Liches can be acquired after completing The War Within Quest. Go to a level 20+ mission with Grineer (this includes Lua missions) while you have no active Lich and wait for the lights to flicker. At this point, start killing enemies till you receive a transmission from a Kuva Guardian and a Kuva Larvling spawns, which will be marked on your HUD. Downing (not finishing) this Larvling will reveal the weapon your Lich will have when you walk up to it, and interacting will create a Lich with that weapon. If it’s not a weapon you want, you can choose to ignore it. The weapon will have a specific element type depending on the frame you use to perform a finisher on the Larvling; please refer to Progenitor Warframe for these bonus elements. We recommend Cassini on Saturn to create Liches.

Part 2 of 3

Preparation
To defeat your Lich you must first collect Requiem mods, which drop from Requiem relics. The relics can be acquired from Kuva Siphons (50% chance), Kuva Floods (100% chance), and Kuva Lich Thralls (5% chance). Thralls can be found in Kuva Lich controlled territories and can only be killed via mercy finishers. Each Thrall grants Murmur progress that reveals the 3 correct Requiem mods needed to defeat your Lich. Total Murmurs required is approximately 180. When you kill Thralls in your own Lich’s territories, their anger meter fills up; this increases the chances of them spawning in their territory controlled missions. When they spawn, they have a chance of turning nearby Grineer into Thralls. Downing them 3 times will make them run away, while stabbing them with no or wrong Requiems will rank them up. This makes them stronger, and grants 10 Murmurs each to the entire squad.

Part 3 of 3

Defeating
Once you know all 3 Requiem mods, you will need to slot them into your Parazon in the correct order. This is done on a trial and error basis, using Parazon finishers on your downed Lich. If a mod is in its correct place, there will be a sound cue and you will move on to the next health bar / phase of the Lich. If it's wrong, there will be a slashed-through icon and the Lich will disappear. Once you have all 3 mods in their correct order and you stab the Lich a third time, you will have an option of either Converting or Vanquishing. Converting makes the Lich an ally that can randomly spawn in missions to provide assistance and makes them tradable. A Lich can only be traded once. Vanquishing the Lich kills it and gives you their weapon. Both options give you all the items they had stolen, and an ephemera if they had one (20% chance to spawn with ephemera | Converted lich retains a copy to be traded).
